No. VVS moissanite has a higher refractive index than diamond, so its fire and brilliance are permanent — they won't fade, cloud, or yellow over time. If it ever looks dull, it's just buildup on the surface that a gentle clean wipes away.
A quick microfiber wipe each week keeps oils and dust off the stones. Give it a soft-brush wash with mild soapy water once a month, and book a deep clean plus tension check every six months to keep the fire blazing and the settings tight.
Tarnish is a natural reaction — sterling silver reacts with sulfur and moisture in the air and on your skin to form a dark patina. It isn't damage and polishes right out. Your iced G-Shock uses stainless steel and resin, which won't tarnish, but if you pair it with silver jewelry, store it dry and buff with a soft cloth to keep it bright.
Yes. G-Shock platforms are built tough — shock and water resistant — and VVS moissanite rates 9.25 on the Mohs scale, so everyday wear is exactly what they're made for. Just rinse off chlorine or salt water and give it a quick wipe to keep the stones sparkling.
Most basic diamond testers measure only heat (thermal) conductivity — and because moissanite conducts heat much like diamond, it can actually read as diamond (a false positive). That's normal and doesn't mean your stone is fake; a basic tester simply can't tell the two apart. A multi-tester that also checks electrical conductivity (moissanite conducts, diamond doesn't) will correctly identify it as moissanite. Moissanite has its own unique optical signature and actually throws more fire than a diamond.
